About Us
Blue Heron RV Resort is located in the Tennessee River Valley just 6 miles from the city of Guntersville. The city is nestled around the 69,000-acre Lake Guntersville in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains at the southernmost point of the Tennessee River. Guntersville offers small-town charm, with diverse shopping, restaurants, and plenty of outdoor activities such as boating, fishing, and golfing. There is also an active senior center and arts community.
Blue Heron is a neighborhood of 91 deeded lots, the first neighborhood of its kind in Alabama with a required RV presence. We are governed by Covenants and Rules and Regulations which list, for example, what size and type RVs qualify (applies to renting and owning), clubhouse/pool rules, etc. You can freely view these documents on this website. Also, custom RV port homes can be built on a lot per architectural review.
Owners pay an annual assessment that includes mowing of their lot as well as all common grounds, garbage pickup, and water and sewer. We also have fiber provided by North Alabama Electric Cooperative, which is paid individually.
