After Transition Committee discussion, there will be a new policy regarding reservation of the Clubhouse on holidays. Going forward, on the following holidays the Clubhouse cannot be reserved for a private party:
Easter Sunday……Memorial Day…..July 4th…..Halloween…..and New Year’s Eve
The Clubhouse can only be reserved those days for a community-wide event, where everyone in Blue Heron is invited, and it can be organized by any owner in Blue Heron. Anyone organizing a community event, holiday or otherwise, must reserve the Clubhouse through the website “Contact Us” page, so it can be posted on the calendar, AND post the event details on our official Facebook group page, Blue Heron RV Community Share. Â
However, if no one organizes an event for the whole community by two weeks prior to the holiday, then the Clubhouse will be open for private reservation. Â
So for 2026, the deadline to reserve the Clubhouse for a community-wide event is:
Easter Sunday…March 22nd
Memorial Day…May 11
July 4th…June 20
Halloween…October 17
New Year’s Eve…December 17
As an example, in years past there used to be random pot luck dinners where the community came together at the Clubhouse, and we’ve had several people mention how they missed that fellowship. That is just one idea for an event. It doesn’t have to be elaborate or cost money, just an event that can hopefully be enjoyed by the majority of our residents.
